Investigating the exponential growth of single use plastics, and the repercussions that plastics are being discovered to have on the environment and in the human body, Plastic People of the Universe features dance, film, text and design to create a world propelled by cycles of creation and destruction. Upcycled plastic six-pack holders collected from New York pizzarias serve as the base element for the costumes and set.
