Prorch provides free platform for posting CALL FOR PAPERS by conferences and journals. Several thousand journals and conferences posted their call for papers in first two months.
Hello,
I have just recieved notice regarding "The Art of Improvisation". I work with improvisation on a regular basis in my theatre related work. I have created template for improvisation based on the anatomy and theoretically or metaphorically claim taps the ever changing flow in the physiology. The template is "The Four Articulations" for acting, clowning, improvisation. My graduate degrees have dealt with this: M.A. in Visual & Performing Arts "The Actor's Body in the Space of the Theatre"; and, PhD in Education "From the Liminal to the Visceral". The PhD presents a new basic trilogy for learning - Embodied Practices, Creativity, Integral Learning. That thesis made use of Pierre Bourdieu's ideas stemming from habitus (the body, Embodied Practices).

I would be happy to present a workshop and talk at the 2012 conference.

Regards,
Ira

Hi Rebecca - I work for an architecture firm here in Houston and would LOVE to attend the Symposium. Unfortunately, a lot of our projects are coming to a head here and there is no getting away at the moment. Will you be writing a follow-up piece after the event? I'd love to live vicariously :)

Anyways, thanks for sharing! - Aly

This looks like an amazing contest with fantastic prizes. My watercolor skills probably aren't up to par to compete. I have a couple of friends who I think will be interested in this, and will be passing it along to them.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get to Riga for this conference. Do you know if there will be a summary posted online somewhere or other place where I can learn what has gone on at the conference? Maybe they will put up YouTube videos? Any help appreciated.

is there explanation some where on how the creators/thinkers here connect the dots between artists synthesizing thru their processes and synthetic materials. The verb synthesizing and the noun synthetic, as in manufacturing using toxic materials have entirely different meanings for me. Am open to learning!

Hi Cathy,

We share your concern and mission, though we have a predominently user generated site. It is amazing that Braque and Picasso understood and imaged cubism before Albert Einstein identified it.

I am writing because we have a Citizen Science initiative in N. America (currently - though we are international), for which we want to get some attention. I am sending you some info and invite your response. Hope all is well and keep up the good work. Lisa

We are YourGardenShow.com, a free social network connecting gardeners of all experience levels with knowledge, tools and resources to inspire sustainable green communities. More gardeners mean healthier communities. We are organized around a garden log which each gardener can chose to share. Plus, we have about 40% original content, including videos.

This month, we unveil an initiative with the first national phenological network (USANPN.org) of Citizen Scientists to undertake the first online national bee count (they're disappearing, causing concern for food security as well as being harbingers of environmental danger). We would like to publicize the initiative since that is what it will take to get the data collected so it can do good!

Would you be interested in running a story on it? We have copy, blogs and press releases. Here's a page from our site indicative of the outreach: http://www.yourgardenshow.com/citizen-science/great-sunflower-project

We would appreciate any exposure you can give it, since the benefits depend on and accrue to everyone equally. We would, of course, link back to anything you wrote about us.

Thanks!

Outreach Director

Sustainability topic is definitely more social and cultural topic then pure research and technology question. I find sustainability education in our society to be very important. A new project by Siemens called Sustainable Cities http://www.usa.siemens.com/sustainablecities/index.htm provides great solutions for eco cities of tomorrow.
